Evergreen Bollywood star Dev Anand's autobiography ‘Romancing With Life’ was released in Chennai on Friday.

“It is a tribute to humanity and human values”, Dev Anand said at the Chennai release of his book.

'The book is a story about my life and times, but it also tells the story of my country and the fight for independence,' he said. He made his cinematic debut in the 1946 film ‘Hum Ek Hain’.

The book was released by actor Kamal Haasan. It will be released in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, the United States and Canada in the coming weeks.

Samajwadi Party leaders Amar Singh and Jayapradha were present at the release. Dev Anand has also recalled his meeting with thespian Sivaji Ganesan and former Chief Minister J Jayalalitha in his book.
