Sathyaraj's dream film 'Periyar' is giving him even more reasons to be happy.

This Tamil Nadu government-backed venture has been selected for screening at the International Film Festival in Goa from November 23 to December 3. It is one of the 23 films selected under the Indian Panorama section.

The other Tamil film to be selected for this coveted honour is 'Ammuvagiya Naan'.

A five-member panel, headed by director K.Sethumadhavan, selected the 23 films from 119 feature films that had entered the contest.

Both the films will also be screened in other international film festivals abroad as official entries of the Indian Panorama section.
