Bharathi has made a heady start with 'Ammuvagiya Naan'. Her performance opposite Parthiban has won her critical acclaims. Directed by Padma Magan, the movie had a decent outing.

When queried what made her accept the role which was earlier denied by some senior actresses, she says, "It is the challenge that made me to accept the offer. When director Padma Magan narrated the story, I was very much impressed by it. I understood that the entire story revolves around me and immediately okayed it without any apprehension."

On working with Parthiban, she says, "Parthiban is a multifaceted personality who knows each and every nuances of cinema. Working with him is a memorable experience and I learnt a lot from him. I vibed well with Parthiban, whose support helped me in understanding my character."
