Action king Arjun who has roots in Karnataka (he is Arjun Sarja in Kannada and his father was yesteryears’ actor Shakthi Prasad) launched his nephew Cheeranjeevi Sarja in Kannada film world. The boy will be the third generation artiste from the family.

Chiranjeevi Sarja, making his debut in 'Vaayu Putra', is Arjun’s sister Ammaji's son. The muhurut of this film was held in Bangalore recently in a grand style.
 
Arjun produces this film and writes the story. His brother Kishore Sarja has penned the screenplay and dialogues besides directing the film.

According to reliable sources this is a remake of 'Sanda Kozhi' a silver jubilee film starring Vishal, Meera Jasmine and Rajkiran in the lead.

Produced in the banner of Sree Raam Films private limited the film 'Vaayu Putra' has music by ‘Chennai 600 028’ fame Premji Amaran.

Tanya, acting as the pair of Chiranjeevi Sarja, too is a newcomer.
