Prasanna, the upcoming hero, is confident that he would make it big come 2008.

With his boy-next-door looks, Prasanna has already managed to establish a place for himself in the industry doing different roles.

According to him, "I am very particular about not to do the usual roles. There has to be something real about the characters. I can stand out only if I portray ordinary men when every other hero wants to do action-oriented commercial films".

"I thank Almighty for giving me films like Azhagiya Theeyae, Kasthoorimaan and Kanda Naal Muthal so early in my career. They had enough scope for me to display my acting skills", he says.

He is currently acting in movies including Anjathae directed by Mysskin, director Siddique's Sadhu Mirandal, Manjal Veyyil opposite Sandhya and Kannum Kannum.

On workng with Mysskin, he says, "He is a talented director. When he approached me with the script, I readily agreed to be part of it. My role plays an important part in the movie though Naren plays the hero. It is one of the challenging roles that I have ever done".

On Sadhu Mirandal, Prasanna says, "Siddique is a prominent director in Malayalam. In Tamil, he has done films like Friends and Engal Anna. When several prominent heroes were ready to act in his film, he insisted that I do the title role in Sadhu Mirandal".

As the title suggests, it is about a timid youth who is forced to take up arms after a sequence of events. Prasanna has tried his hand at action for the first time. Kavya Madhavan plays his heroine.

The movie will be releasing this Pongal.
