Actor Srikanth is back in action with his new venture 'Ettappan', produced by Tirumalai of Trans India.  R.K. Vidyadaran, making his directing debut in Tamil with the yet to be released Sarath Kumar starrer 'Vaidyanathan', is handling the story, screenplay, dialogue, and direction.

Vidheeswaran has earlier directed a Kannada movie 'News' with Upendra in the lead. He has also penned the dialogues of Jayam ravi - Trisha starrer "Something Something Unakkum Enakkum".

Srikanth is paired with Navya Nair for the first time. He plays the role of Nandu, a small-time businessman who takes advantage of his opponents' weakness to earn profit. He falls for Gayatri (Navya Nair) and tries to woo her in a novel way. He gives her a capsule saying that it was an imported one that would rejuvenate the mind and the body.

Unaware that it was a capsule that could induce love inside her, Gayatri takes it and falls in love with Nandu.

Later, 'Ettappan' Srikanth fights hard to expose many bigwigs who live in the society.

Arvind Akash, 'Bose' Venkat, Sathyan, Mayilsamy, 'Kadhal' Dhandapani, Baboos, Satyajit, 'Gajini' Rajesh and Nilima Rani play some important roles in the film.

Music is done by Vijay Antony while Koteeswaran is in charge of editing.  M.V. Panneer Selvam handles the camera to the choreography of Kalyan and Nobel.

Srikanth is banking heavily on 'Ettappan', a romantic-cum-action film for his comeback.
