'Metti Oli' fame Thirumurugan got a timely help from Gopika for his forthcoming movie 'Muniyandi Vilangiyal Mundraam Aandu' which has Bharath in the lead role.

Thirumurugan wanted to cast Gopika, who played the heroine in his maiden venture, in 'Muniyandi’ as well. But Gopika couldn’t accept the offer, as she was too busy with her commitments in Malayalam films.

The actress, however, wanted to help the director, who had given her a strong role to showcase her talents and cement her place in the industry. She then started hunting for a suitable heroine for Bharath and found one in Thamarai, who is her distant relative.

Thirumurugan is quite happy with the choice and signed her in his film as Bharath’s pair.
