Everyone knows about the achievements of the hit movie ‘Chennai 600028’. The entire team went on to become popular but few would have known about J.K Saravana, who was one of the forces that made the film possible.

Meet J.K. Saravana, the co-producer of the smash hit ‘Chennai 600028’. The flick was directed by Venkat Prabhu and jointly produced by S.P. Charan (Capital Film Works) and J.K. Saravana (Tantra Films).

J K Saravana is an established, award-winning producer in Singapore. He is the Executive Producer of Tantra Films’ sister company of Tantra Television. Under Tantra Television, J K Saravana has already made many popular TV programmes in Singapore for MediaCorp TV12 Vasantham Central, Singapore’s National Tamil Channel.

Many of his productions became super hit and received a lot of acclaim and awards. ‘Chakra’, a tele movie and ‘Planet Galatta-Sema Ragalae!’ (a cocktail of variety of things), won awards in Singapore. J K Saravana was recently ranked third in the Singaporean Entertainment Powerlist 2007 by the Singaporean Official English newspaper, The Strait Times.

‘Planet Galatta’ is not only popular in Singapore. It is well received in Malaysia and Chennai! The first edition of this weekly programme was first aired on Vasantham Central in January last year for nine weeks with stunning success. The second edition of the programme is now running with the title ‘Planet Galatta II-Adra Sakkai’.

One of the major highlights of ‘Planet Galatta’ is none other than Prem Gi Amaren! The Music Director turned Actor has composed foot-tapping original songs for the programme. He has roped in singing legends like Vijay Yesudas, Suchitra, Malathi, Haricharan, SP Charan, Naveen, Ranjith, T L Maharajan and many more along with Singapore’s well-renowned singing sensations.

The ‘Planet Galatta’ album too is a big success. The album of the first season of the programme was the highest selling local Album in both Singapore and Malaysia! The music of the second edition too is rocking. The second album is already out in all major music stores in Singapore and is selling like hotcakes!
