The actor cum singer, who has recently recovered from severe ailment, is back to the normal life. The gifted singer has decided to try his hand in singing and hence responded positively for the request from Deva. He has sung the song within 20 minutes, informs the music director. It is also learnt that his majestic voice is intact. The song, needless to say, has come out very well.

"When I decided to sing for a movie, I immediately called my father and sought his blessings", said Muthu after the recording of the song for the film 'Mattu Thavani', directed by Pavitharan.

Will he come back to the acting as well? "I will act if I get chance to act", said the senior actor, who had debuted in films in 1970. "Director Rajeshwar has asked me to act in a father's role in his film. The discussions are going on", informed Muthu to the reporters gathered in Deva's studio located in T. Nagar, Chennai.

'Pillayo Pillai', 'Samayalkaran', 'Anayavilaku' and 'Pookari' were among the films in which he played the lead roles. He had also sung a few numbers in his films.
