Lingusamy has denied reports that his forthcoming directorial venture starring Karthi is the remake of a Telugu movie.

According to the director, 'after ‘Bheemaa’, I would be directing Karthi for a movie to be produced by our own company - Thirupathi Brothers. It would be an action-packed film and would feature Karthi in a different role'.

Efforts are on to convince Nayanthara to don the female lead. Meanwhile Karthi is busy completing his next film ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, directed by Selvaraghavan.

Lingusamy's other production venture ‘Pattalam’ starring Nadhiya is shaping up at a brisk pace.
