Popular Tamil poet Vikramathithyan is well known for his contemporary works. He has won many a laurel for his style of poetry. He is well respected by many Tamil filmmakers.

Bala's 'Naan Kaduvul' starring Arya features Vikramathithyan in a very important role. The character he plays in the film is called 'Aasaan'. Director Vasantha Balan too has cast him in his film 'Angadi Theru'. He is slated to play the role of the heroine's father.

When asked about his foray into the world of acting, the poet said, 'Many directors are my good friends and so are casting me in their films. Acting is quite interesting and I am planning to continue doing so'.

However, the poet adds that his passion to literature would never end and will always remain first priority.
