Prior to ‘Paruthiveeran's’ release, Karthi hogged the limelight as Suriya's brother. Post ‘Paruthiveeran’, the debutant claimed his rightful name as an actor with an outstanding performance that was loved by one and all.

Karthi was then roped in for Selvaraghavan's 'Aayirathil Oruvan' amidst huge expectations. Even as the film is being produced, he has been approached by director-producer Lingusamy for his forthcoming film. The hot and happening Nayantara has been cast as the heroine and the industry is abuzz with the fact that the actress is paid a huge sum for the role….probably the highest in Tamil Cinema.

Nayantara is all set to assume the numero uno position in Tamil Cinema. This coveted position was left vacant for a few years after Simran and Jyothika got married. Nayantara is pairing up with almost all the top stars now including superstar Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith for 'Kuselan', 'Villu' and 'Aegan' respectively. Karthi pairing with her is expected to be a big boost for him.

The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is expected to start shooting in August. Nayantara reportedly simply loves the script and is looking forward to share screen presence with Karthi. They could end up sizzling together on screen.

The young actor with his unassuming and innocent looks does have a flair for good performances and could skyrocket himself to a top position very soon in his career.
