Actor and president of the All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi, Sarath Kumar on Monday resolved to strive for a casteless, creedless society where people can live in harmony.

The actor and president of the Nadigar Sangam celebrated his 54th birthday in Chennai with fans, party cadres and well-wishers wishing him. He cut a cake along with his wife Radhika Sarath Kumar at his residence.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, 'I want to live a life for others'. My party would strive to provide basic amenities for the common man, quality and equitable education and generate job opportunities in the State. We would strive to provide good governance in both the State and the centre'.

Sarath Kumar was greeted on his birthday through telephone by Union Minister E V K S Elangovan, AIADMK MLA S Ve Shekher among others.
