Sasikumar is elated with the success of his maiden venture 'Subramaniapuram'.

However he has planned to start his directorial venture only by January 2009. As of now, he'd be concentrating on acting and has agreed to do the lead role in a movie titled 'Nadodi', to be directed by Samuthirakani.

Speaking at a success meet organized to thank media persons in Chennai on Wednesday, Sasikumar said, “What love can do to a group of happy-go-lucky friends was the crux of ‘Subramaniapuram’. The highlight is that the entire movie unfolds in early 1980s”.

“The sets were carefully erected to suit the period. Intense research was done and the costumes famous during those days were recreated”, he added.

Sasikumar thanked the Tamil audience for making the movie a grand success.
