Parthiban plays a prominent role in the film 'Ayirathil Oruvan' which is being directed by Selvaraghavan. Now that his acting portions in the film are over he is planning to commence his own project very soon.

'Aayirathil Oruvan' features 'Paruthi Veeran' Karthi in the lead role. Reema Sen plays the female lead.

The role being enacted by Parthiban is still kept a secret. Rumors are that he is playing a baddie in the film. However Parthiban has denied the reports terming them as baseless.

'Mine is an important character and I would not divulge any details about it right now', he added.

Reports suggest that Parthiban is contemplating to start his own movie very soon. He has started penning the storyline and screenplay for it.
