Mammootty's bilingual 'Vande Matharam' which is also made in Tamil titled 'Aruvadai' is now charted as a Pongal release. As per the new schedule ,the movie will now grace the theatres as an early release of 2009. The film starring Arjun and Sneha as a part of the cast has left out sequences which has to be canned before it is termed completed. 

If 'Vande Matharam' which was earlier expected as a Christmas release gets shifted, then Mammootty will be in a difficult situation with three of his big releases coming out in the month of January.

Arjun’s recently out ‘Dhurai’ is making a mark in the box office with his continual in ‘Thiruvanamalai’ and Sneha, the nandi award winner is awaiting her releases ‘Silambattam’ opposite Simbhu and Aruvadai. The movie in the combination of Mammooty, Arjun and Sneha might make it big with its elegant star cast.
