Prominent members of the Producers' Council headed by Rama Narayanan met the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu recently to hand over a check worth 11 lakh rupees as their contribution to the relief fund raised for the suffering Tamils in Sri Lanka.

A large party comprising of about twenty members including S. A. Chandrasekharan, Sathyajyothi Thyagarajan, Kushboo, T. Siva and many more presented the cheque.

Members of the Nadigar Sangam too headed by Sarath Kumar contributed a sum of 55 lakhs to the Chief Minister for the relief fund.

A wave of sympathy has engulfed the people of Tamilnadu after the members of the film fraternity highlighted the atrocities meted out to Tamils in Sri Lanka.
