At a time when the economic meltdown and recession is troubling almost every business, the Tamil Film Producers' Council is planning to hold a general body meeting soon to discuss the recession's effects in the Tamil film industry.

According to the president of the Tamil Film Producers' Council Rama Narayanan, 'we would deliberate on issues affecting the industry. The hike in actor's fee by corporates would be an issue we would discuss about. We would also take a call on accommodating corporate firms in TFPC'.

'We are not urging upcoming artistes, but only big stars to reduce their remuneration', he said and added, 'The industry is witnessing a crisis as even the corporates are finding it difficult to run the show'.
