Famous bull of Tamil Cinema to be recreated
IndiaGlitz [Monday, November 24, 2008]

Shooting for the remake of Rajinikanth's 'Murattu Kalai' starring Sundar C begins from the 1st of December.

Directed by Selvabharathy, the movie has musical score by Srikanth Deva, while Santario Tersio handles the cinematography.

Suman will be playing the villain role which was performed by Jayashankar in the original. Vivek plays the comedy role which was enacted by Suralirajan in the original flick. Gunanidhi Amirtham, grandson of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, will produce the film.

Sneha will slip into Rathi's role as heroine and search is on for the other heroine.

Speaking about the film, Sundar C says, 'I hope I will be able to do justice to a role that was done so well by Rajnikanth'.

On 'Murattu Kalai', Gunanidhi says, 'It is one of the films which inspired me when I was growing up'.

'Murattu Kalai' will hit the screens on 14 April, 2009.
