Director Sasi is immensely happy that his movie is getting good reviews and collected good revenue. The movie which threw light on the travails of a rustic rural woman in love with a young man was touchy and sentimental. Starring Srikanth and Parvathy, 'Poo' has won accolades from various quarters.

'It was not my conscious attempt to do such a movie and win appreciations. I was struck by the idea ever since I read the novel', says the exuberant director.

Is Tamil cinema growing in pace with world cinema, he said, 'of course yes. The audience is now informative and educative. They can't be fooled anymore. We cannot do movies in old commercial format with four stunts and four songs. This feeling has crept into every director. It is a good sign', he says.
