Parthiban is back to doing what he is best at, directing a different flick. The man, who literally laid down for Tamil and himself a ‘Pudhiya Padhai’, has already completed a schedule of shooting for his next film, 'Viththagan'.
 
“It’s actually a very strong title, and completely suggestive of the nature of the protagonist. It is a cop story,” says the director-actor, who pairs up with Poorna for the film. “But this is no just another story of a police officer. 'Viththagan' is the guy who can bash up a dozen baddies by his head, not just his might,” says Parthiban. “It is the story of not just a strong cop, but an intelligent one at that.”
 
But playing the role does require him to tone up, and the actor says he has lost some weight to look the part. “But no, I do not have the fascination for a six pack. You don’t necessarily have to do it to prove your heroism,” says the actor. The film is being produced by Seventh Channel, and has completed one schedule already.
