Here is yet another director facing the camera. ‘Paruthiveeran’ director, Ameer is has turned to acting with Subramaniam Siva directed ‘Yogi’. The lady to co-star with him is Madhumitha.

The movie is said to have strong essence of Chennai, for the story is based on slum dwellers. Don’t go by the story hint, for the movie is said to have spend huge amount that mounts to 12 crores. The director-actor Ameer revealed that they had spent nearly 10 lakhs for a single scene. For another scene that involved a famous mall of Chennai- City Centre they had to spend 3 Lakhs only for the location and separate payments to shoot inside the shops at the mall. Few scenes required to shoot inside the restrooms at Sathyam. Besides the on-site shots, the production team had made a replica of the restroom to enhance the scene further.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music. The movie’s shooting which included 161 day schedule is now complete and the releasing date is yet to be finalised.
