AVM Studio is like a place of worship for a lot of cine buffs. Recently we were there to take a look at the sets of ‘Baley Pandiya’. And wow…! That’s where we saw that ‘ball of energy’ jumping with the hero for a song sequence. With a wide grin we started a small chat with Piya!

With her cute and homely looks in ‘Poi Solla Porom’, Piya painted her face in many young men’s hearts. This bubbly butterfly has acted in an ad film made by Priyadarshan. Piya was busy with ad films in Mumbai and to name a few we can pull out her deal with a famous matrimonial website and Laureal’s face wash commercials.

Looks like this pretty girl had a bit of trouble with one of the stills she posed for a matrimonial site. “My photo was used by a matrimonial site with a tag stating- ‘If you want to marry beautiful talented girls like this just click’. Many people thought that I’m one of the brides who have applied in the site and started to give troubles”, laughs the naughty girl

Talking about her break in Tamil cinema, the Mumbai beauty says, “When I was acting in the ad film directed by Priyadarshan, he selected and suggested me for ‘Poi Solla Porom’. While I was acting in this film I also received an offer for Ajith’s starrer ‘Aegan’.”

“I have a fascination to act in Hindi films. Talks are on to do a Hindi film. I will announce once this is confirmed. It is not true that I have changed my name as Preethi,” adds the sizzler.
