Comedian Karunaas, who switched gears to do the lead role in 'Dindigul Sarathy', is currently repeating the act in 'Ambasamudiram Ambani'.

Meanwhile, buzz is that he will be playing the protagonist in two new films, to be directed by 'Kattradhu Thamizh' Ram and Manohar, a newcomer, respectively.

His first heroic venture 'Dindigul Sarathy' was inspired by a Malayalam blockbuster which was directed and enacted by Sreenivasan.

It is about an average looking man who gets married to a beautiful young woman. What happens in his life after the wedding forms the crux of the story.

"I ventured to start a restaurant and then distributed films. Unfortunately, they all failed. However, I didn't lose my confidence and carried forward acting with high spirits. God has answered my prayers with 'Dindigul Sarathy' which was followed by 'Ambasamudiram Ambani'," he says.
