It’s the debut venture of Ammu Ramesh, who is a one time associate of Jayam Raja. We are now talking about ‘Thambikkottai’- the film which is going to show the real face of this village near Thanjavur district. This little village is very popular for its rustic violence and rowdism. And this movie tentatively titled the same will also carry a story based on the events happened in the locality.

‘Thambikkottai’ is produced under the banner of ‘Thambikkottai’ Rajeshwari Films by Suresh. The movie stars Narain in the lead role, while talks are on to rope in Meena, Poonam Bajwa, Prabhu and Vadivelu.

The director worked with Jayam Raja for ‘Something Something Unakkum Enakkum’ and ‘Santhosh Subramaniyam’. He also wrote the comedy track for movies like ‘Masilamani’ and ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’. Now Ammu Ramesh is also doing the story and screenplay of the movie, apart from directing it.

‘Thambikkottai’ has cinematography by Kannan and music by D.Imman. We hear that the film will star rolling from the month of December. So, another rural tale is on the way people…
