This month Hyderabad will see one of the biggest and finest entertainments ever. The Pearl City is getting set to enjoy AR Rahman’s Live in Concert for the first time after his stunning victory at the Academy Awards. Drums Sivamani, Chitra, Blaaze, Benny Dayal, Sadhana Sargam, Rashid Ali, Shweta Pandit, Neeti Mohan and many others will perform along with the Mozart of Madras...

The Concert will be held at the GMR Arena, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Complex on Saturday, October 24, 2009. And the earnings from the concert will be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for providing assistance to flood victims.

AR Rahman said, “Hyderabad is very special for me and I am quite excited to be performing here. I and my team are honoured that the Jai Ho Concert will be the first, inaugural event to be held in the newly created GMR Arena. We hope that this will mark a new beginning of many more such events that will entertain the people of Hyderabad.”

We hear that the highlight of the concert will be a song dedicated to the former CM of the state late Dr. Y. S. Rajsekhara Reddy. The song is composed by Rahman and the maestro will also sing it in the concert.
