Oscar award winning sound designer Resul Pookutty is planning to launch an institute in Dubai to train those who would like to make a mark in the entertainment industry.

To be formed under RP Foundation, the institute is an attempt by the academy award winner to help the current generation, which is entirely banking on technology for information.

“Unless information is backed by knowledge, we will be creating a generation facing a vacuum. RP Foundation will be an attempt to bridge the gap. The foundation would hopefully bring people with similar ideas,” Pookutty says.

Saying that he is planning to start the institution in Dubai by the academic year of 2010, the sound engineer hopes he could make a change by this attempt of him. “Let’s hope for better things,” he says with all optimism.
