 Karthik is a name associated with romance as far as Tamil cinema is concerned. And Vishal is playing one in 'Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai', which is all set to join the Pongal 2010 race along with Vijay’s 'Vettaikkaran'.
Resembling the title, the movie showcases Vishal as a playboy for the first time. "I play Karthik, a playboy who has this habit of choosing the best from three options, even when it comes to his wedding."
The actor, who accepts that his last two films ('Sathyam' and 'Thoranai') did not do well in the box-office, says, "But it has not affected me. Had it been so, I would not have chosen to work with a new director."
TVP is written and directed by Thiru, who earlier assisted directors Agathiyan and A Rajasekhar. Tanushree Dutta, Sarah Jane and Neetu Chandra play heroines. The music has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
