Karunas as cop

IndiaGlitz [Saturday, November 20, 2010]

After playing a middle class husband and an aspiring entrepreneur in 'Dindigul Sarathy' and 'Ambasamuthiram Ambani' respectively, Karunas is now all set to play the role of a police constable in 'Aanaimalai Kandhan'.

The film went on floors at Korattur in Chennai on Friday, at a function attended by Sun Pictures chief executive officer Hansraj Saxena, Malayasia-based businessman Mukundan, producers Ice House Thiyagu and Ayyappan among others.

"In Aanaimalai Kandhan, I am doing the role of a constable, who fears for everything. It is a good story to be told in a hilarious way. Newcomer Ankana from Bengaluru is the heroine," Karunas said.

Directed by Manohara, music for 'Aanamalai Kandhan' is by Karunas himself. Lyrics are by Vairamuthu. "I am not the usual hero. I would play the lead role in films which have scripts that suit me," Karunas added.
