The hot couple of Bollywood Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai grabbed as much attention as their international colleagues at the recently held 83rd Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

The star couple were in LA where Abhishek was shooting for his next film 'Players' when they got the prestigious call to attend the ceremony. According to reports, Abhishek and Aishwarya had gone for the 'All Star' Basketball game which was attended by various Hollywood personalities and the buzz went around that the former Miss World was in town. Shortly the Academy sent her an invite to attend the Oscars.

At the ceremony venue when Aishwarya was asked about her opinion as to who will win the Best Actor, she had replied that she hopes Colin Firth to win the award for the film 'The King's Speech'. And true enough, her guess was right and Colin went on to win the Oscar Award in the Best Actor category. As a matter of fact, Ash had co-starred with Colin in 'The Last Legion' and they had been good associates since then.

Sources revealed that, Abhishek and Aishwarya were in fact not prepared for such a grand award function and therefore their designer friends helped them put together something. Aishwarya had worn an Armani Prive gown to the Oscars while her hubby complimented her in black suite.
