Looks like the Aadi discount is applicable for Kollywood too. For there will not be many releases throughout this Tamil month, and this week is an apt example to it. Only one film, Larencce Raghavendra's 'Kanchana', is hitting the screens today.

A sequel to 'Muni', the actor-director-choreographer is hopeful about the movie's prospects in the box-office. "It will sure repeat the magic of Muni," an optimistic Lawrence says.

Produced by N Radha on Sri Thenandal Films banner, 'Kanchana' is a thriller with enough commercial elements, according to Larencce Raghavendra. "It is one of the important films in my career."

"For the first time, I have played the role of a woman in this film. Even my family members were not able to recognize me while watching some of the scenes. Kanchana will be a complete treat for everyone," he says.

A bilingual, 'Kanchana' has Lakshmi Rai as heroine. Sarath Kumar is playing a crucial role. "Children would enjoy the film a lot. We have shot many a scene with the help of computer graphics. Those scenes would make kids laugh and scream," Larencce concludes.
