Prashanth is back with a bang. The remake of his father Thiagarajan's yesteryear hit, 'Malayoor Mambattiyan', with Prashanth in the lead, is all set to hit the screens in the first week of December.

Says the actor, "The movie sees the use of state-of-the-art technology and I hope audience will love it. It is a cult film and gave stardom to my father. Now we have remade it without changing the content".

"I think this is the first time a father is remaking his movie, with his son playing the lead," says Thiagarajan.

"I wanted to shoot the film in areas that haven't been explored much. I hunted for locations for almost a year and we shot in virgin forest areas in Karnataka and Odisha. I am happy with the outcome", he adds. The movie has music by S Thaman.
