GV Prakash tunes for Simbu

Even as his songs and background score for 'Mayakkam Enna' are widely appreciated, GV Prakash Kumar has silently completed composing a song for STR aka Simbu. Calling it a jingle would be more apt as it is for a television commercial.

"Simbu has been signed to endorse a leading soft drink brand. G V Prakash has composed the jingle for it. It is a fast, foot-tapping number," say sources.

The commercial, which will be aired on Tamil television channels with Simbu shaking the legs, will have Allu Arjun in its Telugu version. This is not first time for the young actors to share the same theme, as Allu Arjun's 'Vedam' was remade by Simbu as 'Vaanam'.

Meanwhile, members of Simbu fan clubs are gearing up to welcome 'Osthi', which is set to hit the screens this Thursday. "We are expecting a complete commercial treat from STR after a long break. So we are ready to celebrate it. Osthi Maamey," says Somu, office-bearer of a Simbu Rasigar Mandram.
