'Thenisai Thendral' Deva and veteran singer LR Eswari were recently lauded for their exemplary contribution to the field of music in Tamil films. The Muscat Tamil Sangham celebrated both the musicians awarding them with the Lifetime Achievement Award and honoring them. Deva has won the Tamil Nadu state award for the best music director thrice and L.R. Eswari has won the Kalaimamani award.

Recently a musical event titled Geetham Sangeetham was held in Muscat. A lot of expert singers from the South Indian film industry were in Muscut to be a part of this event and the event witnessed many popular songs from the past and present. It was a treat for the guests who were present during the event. Karthick, Suchitra, Saindhavi to name a few drenched the audience in a musical shower.

Janakiraman and Basheer Mohammad the president and the cultural secretary of the Muscat Tamil Sangham spoke during the event.
