National award winning director Pandiraj's fresh venture 'Marina' hit the screens all over Tamil Nadu today, with trade sources saying that bookings are full till Sunday!
"Ever since the reservations were opened on Wednesday, there was a huge rush, both physically and virtually. While the booking counters were thronged by curious film buffs, online reservations too hit a high," sources say.
The movie quite appropriately titled as 'Marina' speaks about life in the beach, especially about the plight of less privileged children, who sell sundal and other things on the sands.
The film features Siva Karthikeyan, Oviya, Jayaprakash, Pandi, Gautham Purushoth, Senthil Kumari and Jithan Mohan.
Says Pandiraj, "Marina has two messages for the youth - that students must focus on studies and that nobody is inferior in any way".
On his part Siva Karthikeyan says, "Marina is a favourite hang out for me and my friends. When director Pandiraj offered me the role of a lover who frequents the Marina with his girlfriend, I plumped for it".
