Shruti Haasan was introduced to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at a dinner he hosted to his Mauritius counterpart in New Delhi. The '7aum Arivu' heroine was the only actress in the entire country who was invited for the high-profile event.

"It was a proud moment. We were introduced to the Prime Minister by the officials. He then spoke about the Prime Minister of Mauritius. And then the dinner started. The guest list comprised top officials, Ministers and bureaucrats," says Shruti.

The only company for Shruti from film industry during the event was Bollywood actor Imran Khan, with whom she had shared the screen space in her acting debut 'Luck'. "It was a very rare occasion and I am so happy to attend it," Shruti adds.

The actress-singer-musician is currently shooting for 'Gabbar Singh', a Telugu remake of 'Dabangg' which has Pawan Kalyan in the lead. Happy about playing a village belle for the first time, Shruti says, "It was altogether a different experience."
