'Swamp People' Star Mitchell Guist Dies on His Boat

Mitchell Guist, one of the stars of the History Channel's Swamp People, died on Monday in St. Martin Parish, La. Law enforcement officers told WBRZ.com that Guist passed away around 9 AM.

Sheriff Mike Waguespack said that Guist fell just after his boat headed out on the Belle River. And, witnesses tell TMZ that he may have suffered a seizure.

According to TMZ's report, the boat returned to the dock and someone called 911. Guist was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital, but it was too late. Attempts to save the star with CPR failed.
