'Naduvan' is a single by Malaysian Indian singer-songwriter Dr. Burn. The song was released by Mahakavi Records on February as a single from the contemporary devotional album 'Pranavam'. It's written, composed and produced by Dr. Burn. The song captivated the audience when it was performed during the launch by Astana Arts. The song has elements such as rap, contemporary devotional music and Saiva siddantham. Sitar maestro, Samuel J Dass added spice to the song with his work. The guitar work featured in the bridge was by Mc Dv and the hook was contributed by Michael Rao. The music receives the listeners' attention effectively. Lyrics were penned by Dr. Burn and throws light on life. Naduvan in Tamil means centralized person (middle man of death and afterlife) or God of Death. Hence, it encapsulates the deeper meaning that He is the ultimate truth and metes out the correct verdict. The video depicts the life journey of a man and the Almighty who is omnipresent from day one. The music video revolves around the protagonist, Ganesan Manogaran who represents the ordinary human being. He does not have any devotion for the Almighty. As he grows up, he has desire for money, indulges in lustful activities and emits negative feelings such as anger and frustrations, making him go astray. The negative feelings in one are portrayed by the three white figures that represent karma, ego and illusion. At the brink of death, he recalls the actions that he had committed. Notably, the disrespect he gives to his mother makes many of us reflect upon our own actions. Apparently, he is visited by a dark figure who is the Creator coming to him for salvation. The final Thaandavam dance by Ravi Shankar is highly commendable.
