He began his career as a music assistant under the late Chakravarthy. Debuting with Manasu Mamatha in 1990, he proved himself with mega musical hits - Seetharamaiah Gari Manavaralu, Kshana Kshanam, Sundara Kanda and Gharana Mogudu - in a span of one year!
That is MM Keeravani for you. His sheer range is quite surprising. Give him any script, he can effortlessly elevate it to a new high, giving challenging moments to the director, at times. As Bhuvanachandra has often said, writing lyrics for a Keeravani tune is the toughest thing for a lyricist.
Be it Western or Classical, he is a dab hand in playing both. In the new decade, he began his journey quietly with Student No. 1. After Simhadri (2003) became a mass hit audio, he surprised with his arousing music in Gangotri and sublime music in Okariki Okaru. Naa Autograph was soothing, Sye was inspiring, Sri Ramadasu was deeply devotional. Magadheera, again, was top notch.
As he becomes a year old today, he is poised to set the cash registers ringing. We are talking about Shirdi Sai.
