Actress Aparna Pillai, who played the female lead in films such as 'Pudukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan' and 'Nenjil Jil Jil', has ventured into direction. But on small screen (read television).

She is currently busy producing 'Anjarai Petti', a popular show on a Tamil television channel. Also, she is the creative head and director of a game show called 'Aayirathil Oruvan'.

"Doing television programmes are a challenge. And I love to do it," says the actress, who is a classical dancer as well. "Anjarai Petti and Aayirathil Oruvan are of different genres and I enjoy making them," she adds.

"The response from the audience is encouraging. I will do more such shows in the future," Aparna says, promising that 'Aayirathil Oruvan' has been packaged innovatively and interestingly.
