Though she married popular Tollywood actor Nagarjuna and settled in Hyderabad, Amala belongs to Kollywood too, for she was part of many super hit Tamil movies of the 1980s.

And hence, her comeback film 'Life is Beautiful', which is made in Telugu by popular director Sekhar Kammula, will be released in Tamil soon.

In the movie, Amala is playing a working, widowed single mother who raises her children on her own terms. "Sekhar Kammula has given me a beautiful role. Yes, it's a lovely comeback," says Amala.

The popular yesteryear heroine is an active worker in the field of protection of animals. In fact, she was spotted at a Blue Cross event in Chennai a couple of months back, along with Trisha. In Kollywood, she was part of movies such as 'Velaikaran' (with Rajinikanth) and 'Sathya' (Kamal Haasan).
