It's an open secret that yesteryear hero Karthik's elder son Gautham is making his acting debut in Mani Ratnam's forthcoming film 'Kadal'.

Now it seems the veteran star's second son Gyan too is set to don the greasepaint. If sources are to be believed, the young man will play the lead role in a film to be produced by Cheran.

It is said that the film would have script by Cheran and it would be directed by one of his assistants. Also, a new face is expected to be the leading lady.

"Final discussions are currently on and an official announcement will be made soon," say sources, adding that Gyan is undergoing special training to get his act right.
