Music composer Vijay Antony, who is happy with the response to his maiden acting venture 'Naan', is gearing up to start his next heroic project, titled 'Thirudan'.

He says: "One day, I got a call from Mani Ratnam sir's assistant, who said that the ace director was impressed after watching Naan trailer and wanted me to do a cameo in Kadal."

Vijay Antony adds: "I was on cloud nine and my joy knew no bounds. However, I had no other option than to say no since the date required by Mani Ratnam was exactly the release date of Naan."

"Since I am the producer of Naan, I had to take care of so many things on that day. So with a heavy heart, I expressed my inability to do the cameo in Naan. But I am happy to I managed to impressed Mani sir."
