Director A.L.Vijay, whose recent film Thaandavam is doing well at the box office has denied reports that he will be turning producer. Rumours suggested that Vijay would produce Ponnusamy's first film, who had filed a court case against Vijay for using his story in Thaandavam. But Vijay was quick to deny the rumours saying that "We fought the battle in court and won it. The only similarity between the two stories was that the hero was visually-challenged."
The news surfaced after rumours suggested that Ponnusamy and Vijay held a truce at a meeting held by Director Bharathiraja. A possible solution for the film was suggested and Vijay was set to produce the former's first film. But, Vijay's words have now confirmed that it's not likely to happen.
Meanwhile, Thaandavam is doing well at cinemas and Vijay has praised Vikram for the success. "I am happy with the way people received the movie. It has managed a huge collection and the credit should go to my team and producer UTV Films. Vikram is one of the rare actors who gives his best in any role. For Thaandavam, he worked hard and it was visible on screen. I share a good rapport with him and our chemistry worked well", he says.
He also spoke about his next venture with Vijay when asked, "I will be starting my next with Vijay sir soon. Pre-production works have begun. It would be a commercial entertainer and film-buffs would love it."
