Director A.R.Murugadoss, after attending the audio launch and the trailer launch events of his film Thupaki, revealed that the flick will come out on the Friday preceding Deepavali, falling the 9th of November.

Thupaki is being eagerly awaited by fans across Tamil Nadu and India. After finally getting past the court case against the title of the film, the promotions will now begin and will continue until release. A.R.Murugadoss also said that it was Vijay's father S.A.Chandrasekar who initiated the project. He revealed that Vijay has a lot of lengthy dialogues in the films, including ones in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The demands were reportedly high on Vijay in a movie which has a very prominent crew with big-name technical staff.

After having worked with Ilayathalapathy in the film, Murugadoss now wants to do a full-fledged Hindi flick with the star. How great would it be for Vijay fans to see their star make a move to Bollywood?
