This year, major filmmakers spanning borders, including popular Iranian director Mohsen Makhmalbaf are expected to be in Kerala to attend the event.

One of the high points for Aishwarya during the event would be the screening of her film 3, which is set to happen on the 11th of December. Aishwarya made her directorial debut with 3, which had her husband Dhanush and Shruthi Haasan playing the lead. Reports suggest that she is all excited about getting this chance and is delighted to have been picked for a screening. 3 did well commercially and the music of the film, which was composed by debutant Anirudh Ravichandran became a super hit.
