"God Save Our Country!" says Ajith

IndiaGlitz [Friday, January 11, 2013]

The recent worry for Kollywood and cause of distress has been the taxes levied against it by the Central Government. They went on a strike recently to show their disapproval of it too.

Ultimate Star Ajith, who took an interest in this current turn of events told, "Now there's a hike in railway fares. What next? It's not about service tax alone. Instead of hiking fares and taxing the successful, if only the corrupt leaders who have swindled our country put their hands into their own pockets and return the money and develop infrastructure in our country, India would probably be rated among the top ten richest and developed nations! If people are made to believe that the British swindled India before they left India, think again. Our corrupt leaders have done much more damage to India. God save our country!"

The actor also seems to connect to a quote by Winston Churchill from 1947 which goes like, "Power will go to rascals, rogues, freebooters. All leaders will be of low caliber and men of straw. They'll have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight among themselves for power and the two countries will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air and water will be taxed."
