A for any item song!

The latest decision taken by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is that they will issue an "A" certificate for any film that has an item number in it, regardless of the rest of the movie.

This decision is an aftermath of the Delhi Gang rape, since the CBFC thought it had to take some action and show the public that they do care. This new rule applies for all Indian films, and also, according to the laws of the State of Tamil Nadu, any movie that gets an "A" certificate will not get the state's tax redemption. This also means that the item number will be removed from the film if it is being screened on television channels.
