For his upcoming film 'Gunday', Ranveer Singh is giving a lot of attention to his physique.

The Bandra boy is working towards a leaner frame, to look great and have a chiselled body. Put on a strict diet these days, the handsome hunk follows a no carb diet with no rice, roti, noodle or pasta.

According to sources, there are many scenes where the actor has to go bare chested. Two days before he has to flaunt his body, Ranveer goes on a specific diet and two hours before the shoot he avoids eating altogether. Simultaneously, he works out hard and only after that goes in front of the camera, informs a source.

"He is very particular about his protein bars, he only eats homemade food and does 50 sets of crunches and push-ups before the shot," adds the source.

"Ranveer has many shots in which he is required to reveal his body and he wants to give a perfect shot every time," confirms the spokesperson.

The first shooting schedule of the film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar has already started in Kolkata. Besides Ranveer Singh, the film stars Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan. Set in Kolkata of the early '70s, it tells the story of coal thieves, who go on to become powerful members of the mafia.
