Indiaglitz brings to you an array of Directors who have redefined Kollywood's romantic genre. Its only right to call them Love gurus as they have not just delighted us with breezy "Kadhal" stories but more often given us ideas in our daily love-struck life.
After discussing legends like Mani and Gautham
Without mentioning this ace director, Romance in Tamil cinema does not stand complete. For love is always depicted as a beautiful and joyous feeling in most of the movies. But it was he who re- erected the fact that Love indeed has many other dark Avatars.
This is the story of a boy who had a rough childhood, abused mentally and physically, struggles his way up and falls in love with a girl. Love comes in the form of a friend to him and ridicules his already pathetic life and finally takes his life as well. Selvaraghavan turns Dhanush into the Psychopath, yet makes the audience adore him for his love for Sonia. Kudos for such an endearing fable.
7G Rainbow Colony:
Yet another epic book from his shelf is 7G, a film that made the boat sail long enough. This is the story of a reckless brat who does nothing useful, and what happens to him when he meets the cupid of his life. Yet again Selva concentrates on the dark shade of love and how much the ice called Love drops into the whiskey of Life.
Mayakkam Enna is a near realistic story by Selva this time. Taking a break from his usual flair of film making, this is a total different kind. Love and relationship hinges Dhanush to the realms of his fantasy world and then back to anguish and loneliness. Simplistic story with love as the backbone redeems Selva's position as a Loveguru.
